Will Hennessey Black be known as the mixing cognac? It may be too soon to say. Our tasters have yet to sample the libation but the buzz is strong that this creative blend of eaux-de-vie aged in oak can stand-alone or punch up a stale old cocktail.

Terms like light and fresh, not normally attributed to cognacs, have been used to describe the spirit. Tasting notes included hints of citrus, honey and grapes.
Hennessy Black was selectively released earlier this year in Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Philadelphia but is now available nationwide. The suggested retail price per 750ml bottle is $39.99.
Placement is pervasive in the club circuit, but if you can’t get out try the Hennessy Black Dance Floor hosted on HennessyBlack.com where you can upload your own unique dance moves via web video and add music plus other effects to create your very own dance scene.
